Extras and utilities
Optional parts that are not part of the operating mode. Each has a command.
| Command | Effect |
|---|---|
/lean-and-mean:statusline | Install the status line into ~/.claude |
/lean-and-mean:typesafe-ai | Build a feature on Jev with the typesafe-ai skill |
Both run only when you type them; the assistant never starts them on its own.
Status line
extras/statusline.sh sets up a terminal status line on a new machine. It shows the folder, branch, model, context use and the 5-hour limit. The Session Status Mod shows the cache countdown, so the status line does not.
The second line of the script is a version breadcrumb, # lean-and-mean statusline <n>. At session start the hook compares it with your copy and suggests the command when yours is missing or old.
my-app | main | (Opus 5.5) | ctx 34% | 5h 18% · resets in 2h10m
Plugins cannot set the status line, so a command copies it in. The script needs jq. Run:
/lean-and-mean:statusline
It copies the script to ~/.claude/statusline.sh and adds this to ~/.claude/settings.json, asking first if another status line is set:
"statusLine": { "type": "command", "command": "~/.claude/statusline.sh" }
typesafe-ai
A bundled copy of TypeSafe AI's skill for building app features on Jev, their System One model. Jev doesn't generate text: it takes natural language plus application state and returns typed answers and probabilities, such as yes/no or pick-one, that ordinary code can combine. It fits routing, ranking, extraction, verification, or anywhere a prompt-and-parse step could become a structured decision.
Run it with /lean-and-mean:typesafe-ai. The skill reads TypeSafe's live docs and cookbooks as part of each task. The only change from the original is the endpoint: Jev is called through OpenRouter.
export OPENROUTER_JEV_API_KEY=...
Calls go to POST https://openrouter.ai/api/alpha/decisions with model ~typesafe/jev-latest; request and response match TypeSafe's API.
Without that key, Jev isn't used; there is no fallback to TypeSafe's own endpoint or TYPESAFE_API_KEY.
The assistant won't load it on its own. Copyright and credit belong to TypeSafe AI (MIT).
